Urgent Care Cambridgeshire (UCC)
"Out of Hours Local GP led services the community wants"
Urgent Care Cambridgeshire (UCC) was formed in April 2010 as a successor to Camdoc, which was the local GP run cooperative, started in 1993 to provide out-of-hours care to the patients of Cambridge and surrounding villages. The new name takes in to account our duty to provide out-of-hours care to the whole of the county and incorporates Huntingdon, East Cambs and Fenland, Cambridge City and South Cambridgeshire. It remains a locally run GP led service.
An organisation that has long experience in providing a quality service to the 750,000 patients of Cambridgeshire. UCC is a “not for profit” company, limited by guarantee so all our funding goes to provide a first class service that our patients deserve.
Our Vision
Local Engagement – Local staff and clinicians delivering a quality service incorporating views of patients and local GP practices
Local Base – 5 Primary Care Centres in the county for easy access to medical treatment:
Cambridge / Huntingdon / Doddington / Ely / Wisbech
Local Knowledge – Awareness in our county of the needs of patients and services that are available
